We’re turning it up a few notches with this one- The divine Ms. Sherryl Marshall and the explosive Mr. Robinson Treacher are bringing a jolt of energy, excitement and a boatload of musical talent and experience to the little big stage at The Green Growler.
From Frank’s monthly Newsletter:
Sherryl Marshall brings her gorgeous voice to the stage-and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I met Sherryl back in 1989 when she was part of the Uptown Horns Revue. Over a period of 25 years, she’s sung on multiple TV commercials, backed up everyone from Peter Wolf, Albert Collins, RuPaul, Darlene Love Joni Mitchell, and was one of those singers making things “Hot Hot Hot” with Buster Poindexter and his Banshees of Blu. She’s also lent her vocal talents to a few tunes penned by your’s truly, and totally nailed “Rockin’ In The Moonlight”. Listen to her song “Home” – it is beautiful
Open Mics can be pretty hit and miss. A few years ago I was at the Towne Crier in Beacon, where Don Lowe runs the open mic- and Robinson Treacher, a definite “hit” did a few songs and I immediately asked him to drop by the Growler.Since then, Robinson has been featured of WFUV as part of John Platt’s “On Your Radar Series”, he’s performed at festivals and concerts with his trio “Cole, Nakoa and Treacher” , and has continued to be one of the more electric performers on the singer-songwriter circuit.
Really glad to have both of these talented people come back to the Growler on the same night.
No cover, Yes beer, Yes great music. We start at 8pm.
