Jay AzzolinaGrammy nominated guitarist/composer Jay Azzolina has been part of the New York Jazz scene for the past three decades. After leaving the Berklee College Of Music, where Jay studied with Pat Metheny, Mick Goodrick and Charlie Banacos, the guitarist began working and recording in New York with a variety of artists. Beginning in a more electric setting and later transitioning to acoustic jazz, Jay’s associations include Michael Urbaniak, Herbie Mann, Jaco Pastorius, Harvie S, Spyro Gyra, Dave Samuels, Kenny Werner, Chuck Mangione, Ron McClure, John Abercrombie, Randy Brecker, Jerry Bergonzi, The Westchester Jazz Orchestra and John Patitucci.

Croton’s own Mark Minkler, veteran bassist on the New York scene since 1981, has played with many artists crossing musical genres, among them: Buddy Rich, Blossom Dearie, Chris Connor, The Widespread Jazz Orchestra, The New York Pops Orchestra, and Growler favorite, Frank Migliorelli.

Jason Tiemann is a New York City based jazz drummer, where he maintains a busy schedule as a freelance performer and educator. Admittedly drawing influence from the great(s) Philly Joe Jones, Tony Williams, Elvin Jones and Billy Higgins, Tiemann is quickly forging his musical voice on the New York scene by fusing his depth of historical foundation with crisp technique and propulsive, intuitive swing.

Throughout his career, he has performed and/or recorded with an astonishing array of musicians including, but certainly not limited to, Benny Golson, David Liebman, Harold Mabern, Eric Alexander, Mike LeDonne, Peter Bernstein, Slide Hampton and countless others on the New York scene.
