Beer and cheese have been paired for hundreds of years and 2018 is no different. Join Justin at The Green Growler for a pairing of Duncan’s Abbey Ales with selected cheeses from Murray’s. Learn why a sour ale goes so well with a rich soft cheese or why a blue cheese is better with a dark beer. We’ll be buying several full wheels of cheese for this event so everyone can mix and sample the ales and the cheese to get different flavors in different ways! From firm to soft, sweet to stinky, you’ll get a wedge of each cheese so you can see how the different flavors accent and change with each of the four 6 oz samples of beer. Justin will be happy to answer questions about beer, cheese, and the chemistry of food pairings while we all celebrate the beginning of the weekend.
