Old Dogs New Tricks is made up of husband-and-husband duo Mark Davis and Jim Howe. With Mark on acoustic guitar and Jim on cello, the two trade off lead and harmony vocals on originals and covers. Their songs ask what it means to be human and how, in the words of the poet Mary Oliver, we can make the most of our “one wild and precious life.” Old Dogs New Tricks has performed at Common Ground in Hastings, where they opened for Mouths of Babes in November 2016, Purpl in Hastings, the Black Cat in Irvington, and the Duplex in New York City, among others.
